Affordability & Support
Catholic Education Is Within Reach
Families are encouraged to apply, many qualify for assistance, and all applications are reviewed confidentially.
At Quincy Catholic Schools, every student receives tuition assistance through parish support. Families pay only a portion of the full cost to educate, thanks to the generosity and stewardship of the parish communities that sponsor our schools.
For families who need additional support beyond parish assistance, tuition aid and scholarships are available to help make Catholic education an achievable choice. Our goal is simple: to ensure that finances are never a barrier to choosing a faith-filled education.
How Tuition Assistance Works
Tuition assistance at Quincy Catholic Schools builds on the parish support already provided to every family. The true cost of educating a student is higher than what families pay. The difference is made possible through parish subsidies provided by Blessed Sacrament, St. Anthony (St. Dominic School), St. Francis, and St. Peter.
For families who need further financial support, the Quincy Catholic Elementary Schools (QCES) Foundation offers additional tuition assistance based on demonstrated financial need. These awards help ensure fairness, transparency, and dignity throughout the process.
QCES Foundation Tuition Assistance Program
The QCES Foundation is proud to offer a Tuition Assistance Program to support families seeking a Catholic education. Awards are based on demonstrated financial need, as determined through the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment. This process ensures impartial review while protecting family privacy.
Families whose household income falls within 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines are especially encouraged to apply.

Additional Opportunities
Scholarships Available
In addition to tuition assistance, Quincy Catholic Schools offers several scholarship opportunities to support families with specific needs or circumstances. These scholarships are made possible through the generosity of donors and parish partners and are designed to further reduce financial barriers while expanding access to Catholic education.
Newcomer’s Scholarship
The QCES Foundation Newcomer’s Scholarship is a partially need-based, full-tuition scholarship awarded annually to one student in Grades K–8. Eligible students may be Catholic or non-Catholic and must not currently have a sibling enrolled in one of Quincy’s Catholic elementary schools.
This scholarship is awarded for one year and is not renewable. Recipients may apply for tuition assistance in subsequent years through the standard FACTS process.
Father Augustus Tolton Scholarship
The Fr. Augustus Tolton Scholarship provides full K–8 tuition for one or more children in a family registered at each of the four Quincy Catholic parishes. Awards are based on demonstrated financial need as determined through FACTS.
Because these scholarships are need-based, recipient families are not publicly identified.
St. Thomas Aquinas Scholarship
The St. Thomas Aquinas Scholarship offers full tuition and fees (K–8) for up to four students across Quincy Catholic Schools. Eligible families must demonstrate financial need and not currently have a student enrolled.
This scholarship is intended to support:
- Students of color
- Non-Catholic students
- Students living below the poverty level
- Students with disabilities
More than one child from a family may receive this scholarship.
Ongoing Support
Gene Grawe Fund
The Gene Grawe Fund is especially helpful for families looking for ongoing, everyday ways to offset tuition costs.
Families may further offset tuition through participation in the Gene Grawe Fund. By purchasing gift cards from participating retailers, families generate contributions toward their tuition accounts, without spending extra beyond normal household expenses like groceries and gas.
Friends and relatives may also participate by purchasing gift cards on behalf of a family.
